Sensor Luxury is a 7 zoned Micro pocket coil mattress. Micro pocket coils are a very high spring count spring system with smaller diameter springs.  A standard king size mattress boasts over 2200 micro pocket coils. The main advantage of micro pocket coils over normal pocket coils is that there is minimum movement in the mattress with a lot better mould around the body.   As the spring count is a lot higher, it provides a superior support structure.   It also minimises pressure points on the body.

The springs are encased in a foam box which gives extra support along the edges of the mattress.  When you sit on the mattress, it does not collapse under your weight. If the sides collapse, it could cause a person to slide down when sitting on the side to get in and out of the bed. The foam box also allows a person to sleep right to the edge of the mattress so you can utilise the full sleeping area. Some mattresses come with edge wire and metal springs along the edges as side supports. Although they are also a strong side support, some people can feel the hard wire under the thighs when they sit on their mattress.  With the inclusion of a foam box, this problem is alleviated.  Generally, most imported mattresses or mattresses that come in a box do not come with any of these side supports hence they are cheaper. The side supports also provide stability in the mattress.

The 7 zoned micro pocket coil spring system provides extra support to the areas which needs the most support, such as the back, while at the same time minimising the pressure on the shoulders for a side sleeping person.
